In October 2004, instruction began at the bachelor and diploma levels in six programs: Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Financial Sciences, Marketing and Electronic Trade, Computer Science and Interior Design. In 2006-2007, the program of Management Information Systems was added (Ref. 460/ 2006 dated 8.7.2006). The College applied to add Graphic Design and the MBA programs. OCMT is academically affiliated with Yarmouk University. The university’s experience during the last three decades formed the basic know-how for the establishment of the College. That of course positively reflected upon the academic practices, deployment of e-learning strategies, and academic regulations. Oman College of Management & Technology (OCMT) has been established to actively participate in comprehensive national and regional development through quality education, and its endeavors to keep abreast of changes within an atmosphere of democracy, freedom, creativity, equal opportunities, and lifelong interactive learning. OCMT attempts to match international educational standards. The Quality Management Office supervises all activities conducted to ensure that the College is on track towards achieving its objectives that are in line with national and regional development plans, as outlined in the College strategy plan. |
