Language Centre at OCMT offers skills based English language teaching to the students to enable their active participation in their post-secondary or higher education studies. The Language Centre faculty-members are internationally educated and experienced in using modern teaching materials. They provide world class training to the students. The centre provides the students regular access to e-learning and computer facilities. Our Learning Resource Centre is equipped with audio visual aids and computers with programs which offer the students enough practices in language areas such as vocabulary, grammar, reading and listening. A major section of our library provides up to date language learning and teaching materials.

The facilities available at OCMT, as mentioned above, are of great help for self-motivated study. Currently the Centre offers General Foundation as well as Post-foundation (Regular) programs. The General Foundation Program is divided into two levels – Level 1 and 2. Each level is covered in one semester. The regular program is of four levels – Regular English 1, 2, 3 & 4 which are mandatory for a bachelor degree student where as a diploma student has to study the first three levels. This program is well designed to help the students to have a constant access to the language skills throughout their academic studies.

OCMT is also keen and interested in following up the guidelines given by Oman Accreditation Council and the Ministry of Higher Education.
