The Curriculum Advisory Committee in the Department of Computer Science and Management Information Systems (CSMIS) conducted its first meeting in campus on Sunday October 31, 2021. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Basel Bani-Ismail, Head of CSMIS department. The committee includes all faculty members of CSMIS department and the following two external members from the industry who are specialized in ICT sector:
• Dr. Amjed Al-Thuhli, Consultant | National Space Program | Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology
• Mr Younis Al-Anqoudi, Senior Manager ICT in Transom Handling
The committee thoroughly discussed the Curriculum Design Manuals for all programs offered by the CSMIS department, also the committee discussed the possible opportunities that contribute to achieve Oman vision 2040. The committee forwarded its recommendations to the CSMIS Department Council to take the appropriate actions in this regard.
