Oman College of Management and Technology, represented by student Nusaiba AL Thuwaibi , the President of the Student Advisory Council, participated in the Ministry of Labor's annual press conference titled "Renewed Market and Regulated Work Sectors" on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. During this conference, the ministry presented a range of programs and plans aimed at enhancing employment and creating job opportunities by supporting national programs for training and qualifying job seekers and employing them in both the public and private sectors. Additionally, the ministry affirmed the implementation of initiatives and programs to enhance employment initiatives overseen by governmental bodies and units in the private sector.
Furthermore, the ministry emphasized the importance of building national capacities and talent management by improving and developing human resources in administrative units and establishing a comprehensive national system for capacity building and talent management. The ministry also discussed the implementation of individual and institutional performance measurement systems within government institutions, as well as the national framework for job competencies.
This year, the ministry aims to develop policies and strategies to attract investment by developing labor market policies and preparing a national strategy for professional standards, ensuring their implementation, and monitoring the national employment policy.
