Our esteemed college, represented by Mr. Louay Al Nuaimi from the Department of Computer Science and Management Information Systems, participated in the Oman Forum for the Artificial Intelligence Industry, which was organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology on Wednesday, the first of November 2023. The forum included discussion of many topics, the most prominent of which is the role of artificial intelligence in developing sectors. Different aspects, its role in health, safety and the environment to improve safety behavior and the impact of advanced technology in improving safety and public health. The opportunities of the Sultanate of Oman in the field of generative artificial intelligence and the most prominent opportunities and challenges in the field of technology were also reviewed. The forum also discussed topics related to economic diversification and capacity building, supporting small and medium-sized companies and basic sectors, in addition to laws and regulations that enhance the humanitarian aspect and contribute to advancing the Sultanate’s economy into the future. Professional educational seminars were also held aimed at exchanging knowledge and experiences in the field of technology.
